How to become a client of Common Ground
If you
have been diagnosed as being HIV positive, stop by the
agency to pick up a client services application. The
application is the first step to receiving direct client
services at Common Ground.

Goals of Common Ground’s Direct Client Services
-
To
provide free, comprehensive medical and social
services to people living with HIV on the west side of
Los Angeles.

To
target populations conventionally underserved by
HIV/AIDS service providers, such as women, people of
color (in particular monolingual Spanish speaking),
people who are homeless, and people who do not have
health insurance.

To
break the cycle of homelessness for people living with
HIV/AIDS and provide ongoing support to help program
participants keep housing once they have obtained it.

To
help people gain independent living skills to enable
them to improve their stability and quality of life.

To
identify and address the mental health needs of
Westside HIV positive residents.

To
create a safe space where people living with HIV can
experience a sense of community and belonging.

Common
Ground’s bilingual Housing Specialist provides referrals,
education and support to help clients access housing
resources and maintain stable living conditions. Clients
who participate in the program must be enrolled in Care
Services, and work with Common Ground’s Housing Specialist
to develop an appropriate housing plan.
